The L.O.S.T. in Services (LOgistification and Simulation Techniques in Services) research team is about to develop a heuristic-based service process reengineering tool to solve the above mentioned issues. The different needs of internal and external consumers highly influence the service delivery process. The competitive advantage is often lying in the understanding of both type of different needs. This is why, in our research, we are considering the whole process from the beginning at Latin American farms where coffee cherries are harvested, through the purchasing process to consumption. It is very useful for us, because we can follow the different product and service elements and their modifications through the whole process. It give us the chance to identify the different logistification types.
